Important Tips and Reminders for the Class of 2023!!!

1. Become friendly with NAVIANCE and our website for CRUCIAL
   information! www.eshscounseling.weebly.com

2. Be sure to check the College Visits Calendar in Naviance!

3. Utilize the awesome links on our website under the tab "College Prep and Search" as well as NAVIANCE. This can help you research different colleges, programs, majors, etc.

4. Begin researching and Touring Campuses: Virtually, in

person and in the fall be sure to sign up for the College Visits/information sessions at ESHS in the College and Career Center. Sign up via NAVIANCE!!

6. Register to take the PSAT in September 2022 (sign up 
   dates will be announced and you will sign up with Mrs.  

   Thompson in the main office)

7. Create accounts on www.collegeboard.com  and
   www.ACTstudent.org

8. Register to take the ACT and SAT 

   school year when testing . Go to websites and check dates.

9. Letters of Recommendation (Begin searching for a 

   teacher or counselor who knows you best!)

10. Watch for College Night and Bulletin announcements

11. Check your transcript for errors and be sure to make up ANY grade of D or F in A-G coursework by the 
end of your Junior year

12. Finish Junior year strong- this GPA is critical!


13. UC Campuses have stated that meeting A-G
 requirements does NOT guarantee admittance to a UC
 campus; it only means they will consider you for
 admission

14. Create  and use professional/appropriate email accounts
* Clean-up your social networking accounts (FaceBook,
Twitter, Instagram, Tumbler, etc.) and make sure that all pictures and posts are appropriate and something you wouldn't mind on the front page of the newspaper!!!

15. ASK QUESTIONS and DON'T PROCRASTINATE!!!
